Bella Jade Boudoir Outfit Guide

Who is boudoir photography for?

Every woman deserves to feel, loved, sexy, and empowered.

For that, we encourage all women no matter what shape or size you may be to try an empowering boudoir

session at least once your lifetime! We get excited to work with women from all walks of life,

because every woman has something beautiful and worth celebrating within them! Through boudoir

photography we are able to help you realize your beauty and empower confidence! It is our aim to

show you just how gorgeous and capable you really are! Why? Women do not just come to our boudoir

studios for pretty pictures that they can give their significant other. Many are doing this just for

themselves! It’s likely you are too! Its true! The real gift, and most common reason women do this is to experience

something emotive that reminds them they too, are beautiful, and deserving of self love. At Bella Jade Boudoir in Scottsdale our aim is to

inspire you and guide you through the entire process from what to wear, how to pose, down to creating your final

finished artwork so that you will not only look amazing but feel amazing too!

Your Personal Style Revealed!

Timeless and classic, flirty and playful, or daring and dramatic? The best advice that I can give you is to embrace your own boudoir personality. Every boudoir session is different, because every woman is different. Your idea of sexy may be a worn baseball jersey, while another woman may think a corset and thigh-highs are the way to go. I encourage you to challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone as part of doing an empowering boudoir session is to learn to love the skin youre in! But, stepping too far out for your first boudoir shoot is probably not the best idea. Your wardrobe should make you feel your best, fit well on your body and be reflective of your personal style.

Not sure what that might be? You can take our boudoir personality style quiz here.

Understanding Your Body Type

Be true to yourself. When it comes to lingerie, especially, there isn’t exactly a one size fits all solution. Experiment with different options and pay attention to your body shape — how it appears depending on the material or cut of the pieces you are trying on. What do you love about your body and what do you want to downplay? How can you bring out your assets and de-emphasize the thing you’re less in love with? The right fitting garment will not only look more flattering but it will help you feel better about yourself!

Choose pieces that hug your curves, provide the right amount of support, and draw attention to your best features! For example, if you’re self conscious about you’re mid section pick lingerie that conceals that area like a one piece teddy or high waisted panties. Busty but not perky? A wired full coverage silky bra can provide additional support that is ideal for boudoir posing and can look just as sexy as an unlined lace. Chair of the IBTC? Honor your pretty little ladies by wearing something like a balconette bra which can enhance your natural shape!

Exploring Lingerie Alternatives

Remember, you are not limited to just lingerie for your boudoir session. Feel free to explore different looks that speak to you and have fun with it! We’ve photographed everything from wet t-shirts, jean shorts, over the shoulder sweaters, just sheets, little black dresses, and more! Adding a non-lingerie option to your boudoir outfits can provide something that feels more unique to you and adds variety to your boudoir photos!

Consider Bringing Props or Accessories

Props and accessories can be a great way to personalize your boudoir session. Whether its something sentimental like jewelry, an item that represents things you love, or even something a little more racy like satin ties, or masquerade masks the possibilities are endless!
