What I love about boudoir photography is helping women realize their beauty and show them just how capable and sexy they really are.
Miss E. came into the studio needing to reconnect with herself after multiple surgeries that left her feeling less confident.
After her session she reached out to me and said this was a very special experience for her and she wanted other women like herself to know that they can do this too! She has so graciously shared her story and experience with us here and we are incredibly thankful.
Read on to hear her story and how this boudoir shoot inspired her to appreciate her body.
What inspired you to pursue a boudoir session?
To learn to love and appreciate my body after a double mastectomy, multiple surgeries and complications which results in multiple scars and no reconstruction.
Why did you choose The Bella Jade Collection for your boudoir experience?
I reached out to several photographers and Christina actually listened to my specific situation and gave advice based on my needs.
Do you consider yourself a confident person or more of a work in progress? Did this experience change the way you see yourself?
Work in progress. When I saw these photos, I felt like I was able to appreciate how my husband and others see my body.
Did you have any fears going into this? Were you able to overcome them? Anything you wish you would have done differently?
Definitely. I was worried I wouldn’t look like myself, I wouldn’t feel comfortable, I would still feel I look disfigured. I would have played my specific music, but Christina found a good mix of music that fit me.
What was your favorite part about your boudoir experience?
Seeing the final product.
Do you have any advice for someone considering their own boudoir photo shoot?
Do it! Take the chance and be amazed at what your body is capable of.

I am so happy I found Christina! From our first interaction, to the consultation and follow through.... Christina took the time to make sure everything was how I was hoping.
“After having a double mastectomy and multiple infections and complications, I ended up being flat with lots of scars. I was looking to do a photo shoot to help reconnect with my new body. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed through her professionalism and experience. She has allowed me to see my body from a different perspective.”
