Feeling nervous about doing a boudoir session is not uncommon. On one hand, it's recognized as an empowering experience, offering a chance for self-discovery, embracing one's sensuality, and boosting confidence. Miss T. shares what her boudoir photo shoot was like in her own words:
What inspired you to pursue a boudoir photo shoot?
I have always wanted to do this but kept putting it off, waiting for an occasion or a milestone moment. I finally decided to stop waiting and got the encouragement from a few close friends to just do it. And soooo glad I finally did!
Why did you choose Bella Jade Boudoir in Scottsdale for your Arizona boudoir experience?
After I decided to do a boudoir shoot, I started to do my research. I visited multiple sites and just kept going back to The Bella Jade Collection. What drew me to it was Christina's style of photography and her being able to capture the essence of a woman and bring out the sexiness in a sensual way. That is what I was looking for. I was sold!
Do you consider yourself a confident person or more of a work in progress? Did this experience change the way you see yourself?
I fluctuate between confident and work in progress, I'm pretty sure all of us women do. With having children and aging and dealing with body changes, it's an ongoing process of accepting yourself as you are now. This experience has definitely helped me see myself as sexy and alluring. It helped me to see myself in a way that I haven't seen in a long while.
Did you have any fears going into this? Were you able to overcome them? Anything you wish you would have done differently?
I definitely was anxious and nervous and way out of my comfort zone going in. But Christina is so genuine and real and did such an amazing job of helping me overcome that and help me feel relaxed.
What was your favorite part about your boudoir experience?
Christina took the rein and helped me get out of my head by just letting go and enjoying the experience. She walked me through everything, answered every question, helped with outfit selections and worked with me through my insecurities to produce some AMAZING pictures!
Do you have any advice for someone considering their own boudoir photoshoot?
I would say, stop waiting for the 'right' moment. Whether you're 100% confident or not, this experience will change your mindset!

There are many misconceptions about boudoir including the idea that a woman must be in the best shape of her life, and fully comfortable and confident with her body before she books her boudoir session. I mean sure, some women do a boudoir session to celebrate feeling the most confident they’ve ever felt and I’m here for that 100 percent! But the truth is that not all women wait until they are ready to do a shoot like this. For most, they are doing it scared. They are betting on themselves, stepping out of their comfort zone, and putting their trust in a professional boudoir photographer to guide them through it.
They aren’t in their perfect era. Not even necessarily struggling. They’re just looking for something more — a self-esteem boost! They want to reclaim their confidence, see the beauty others see in them, unveil their inner bombshell, accept the challenge, and take time just for themselves to nurture their self love journey.

What inspired you to pursue a Scottsdale boudoir session?
I was celebrating my 40th wedding anniversary and 58th birthday in September and wanted to do a little something out of the ordinary.

I looked online and loved what I saw and what I read about The Bella Jade Collection. After the full experience, I am so grateful that I chose them because they were the best from getting me ready for the shoot and helping me with the shoot itself and the end product was fantastic. I highly recommend them to everyone.
Do you consider yourself a confident person or more of a work in progress? Did this boudoir experience change the way you see yourself?
I am definitely a work in progress. Even though I can be very confident about certain aspects of my life this was definitely one of those areas where I doubt myself and feel self conscious. All of the uplifting emails throughout the process certainly helped to put me at ease and Christina was very upbeat and a fantastic coach helping me pose, etc.
Did you have any fears going into this? Were you able to overcome them?
I was afraid that I would not look very attractive, especially as a woman my age putting myself out there to be photographed. I must say that even at 58 years old the photos turned out spectacular and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
What was your favorite part about your Scottsdale boudoir experience?
I loved the photo shoot with the girls. They made me feel so comfortable and I was sad to see it end and could have stayed there all day. It was like spending the day with your girlfriends and having the best time.
Do you have any advice for someone considering their own boudoir photo shoot?
