For Miss C. loving herself full circle was at the core of why she wanted to do a boudoir session with us.

She says “ Even though I can be very confident about certain aspects of my life this was definitely one of those areas where I doubt myself and feel self conscious.”

She’s not alone. Wanting to feel more comfortable in your own skin but feeling nervous to do a boudoir session is normal. And we are here to remind you that boudoir is for every woman.

Miss C. went into this excited but also somewhat nervous to put herself out there. After looking into what we do here at Bella Jade Boudoir in Scottsdale she was able to muster up the courage to go for it. Now, she has been eager to share her experience with others alike in hopes that you too, will give this a try.

Miss D. admits she had some inhibitions going into this. She knew that she had wanted to do her very own boudoir photo shoot for a while. As a women in her 60’s in a body that looks different from medias perception of perfection it took a bit of courage to pull the trigger. And, honestly she is not alone in feeling the pressure to meet certain standards before booking a shoot like this. But for her — doing this NOW was the absolute right time!

Listen, there is no pre-requisite to learning to love yourself other than the desire to want to! As far as I am concerned, at Bella Jade, boudoir is about loving who your are in the body that you’re in right now, then

— having those images and re-visiting that feeling every time you look back on your boudoir photos!

I am so glad that Miss D refused to let her inhibitions hold her back, but rather allowed the inner critic to motivate her to be better at loving her body! She talked back, and I love that!

After her session at our main studio we asked to interview her about her Scottsdale boudoir photography experience. She said YES. She too, wanted other women to feel empowered to celebrate their bodies at any age so that they can see for themselves just how beautiful they really are. Her boudoir interview goes to show that numbers do not define us and we are ALWAYS worthy of self love.

What inspired you to pursue a Scottsdale boudoir session?

My first thought was for my husband's 50th birthday. I wanted to give him something he would never forget and something completely out of the usual. After booking and in anticipation of the shoot, I realized I was doing this for me. I have had self-image issues as many of us do, and I wanted to show myself my body is my own and damn sexy. I also wanted to prove to myself I could do something like this. I am so glad I made the move to do this.

Miss M. had been in our VIP group for over a year. She was recommended by someone who's done two shoots with us. She's wanted to do a shoot like this for a while and needed to build up the courage to go for it. Well — She won our Giveaway in February and was met head on by some of her fears. A new season in her life that was filled with uncertainty but unapologetic love for herself and her body. She embraced it. As it provided her relief that sometimes doing the best we can do really is enough. Her session and time with us was so beautiful as is she.

Some might say that she was lucky to win our giveaway but reality is we are lucky to have HER.

Miss D, like many women we get the honor of photographing at our Scottsdale boudoir studio had wanted to do a shoot like this for a long time! For her, doing a boudoir photo shoot was something she needed to do for herself.
